Canned fish for Hurricane Katrina victims

THE Namibian government has extended a humanitarian hand to the victims of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, USA with a donation of US$100 000 (N$630 000) worth of canned fish.

“This donation is Namibia’s humble contribution to alleviate to a certain extent the plight of those affected by this terrible natural disaster,” Information and Broadcasting Minister Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah said at a media conference Friday.
