Leaders of the Apostolic Faith Mission yesterday appealed to the South African government not to allow Eskom to increase its tariffs, nor to make customers pay backdated increased tariffs.
“It is unacceptable that Eskom, which must rate as the world’s worst-managed company, is now victimising its customers because of its gross negligence,” an AFS statement read. “One understands that there will have to be increases, but it is a disgrace and a huge offence to the South African public to dare ask for such a high increase now.It would be wiser to make any tariff increases over a period Eskom has applied to the National Electricity Regulator of SA to incrover the costs of overhauling its infrastructure.Nampa-Sapa”One understands that there will have to be increases, but it is a disgrace and a huge offence to the South African public to dare ask for such a high increase now.It would be wiser to make any tariff increases over a period Eskom has applied to the National Electricity Regulator of SA to incrover the costs of overhauling its infrastructure.Nampa-Sapa
