A FOUR-YEAR-OLD girl is still fighting for her life in the acute ward of the Katutura State Hospital after the house she and her family lived in was set alight about two weeks ago.
The girl and her 16-year-old brother were the only two survivors. Both her mother, Hendrina Matroos, and another brother, Albertino (8), were killed in this blaze.Sydney Nero (35), who was charged with two counts of murder, two counts of attempted murder and one of arson, is scheduled to make a second appearance in the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court in Katutura on March 3.It was earlier reported that Nero thought a drinking companion, whom he had accused of cellphone theft, lived in the shack of the Matroos family.In what is alleged to have been a revenge attack, Nero threw petrol over the house and set it on fire, it is alleged.
