Brave Warriors in third draw

THE Brave Warriors played to a 0-all draw against Angola in that country’s 7th Peace Celebrations in Luanda on Saturday.

It is the third consecutive draw for the Warriors after they also drew 0-0 against Botswana on March 21 in Keetmanshoop, with a second 1-all stalemate against Lebanon on April 1 in Beirut.
The match in Angola was part of that country’s independence celebrations and Namibia took most of the locally based players from the domestic premiership sides.
The match against Botswana was part of Namibia’s Independence celebrations, while the one against Lebanon was a Fifa-sanctioned international friendly.
The team was due back in the country yesterday and will most possibly be idle until the next Fifa friendly date.
The Lebanon match had Namibia’s foreign-based players, who did not make use of their goal-scoring opportunities despite dominating the match.
The outcome of the Angola match was regarded as positive and was mostly used to give the locally based players a chance to compete at that level.
