NAMIBIA’s second-string senior national football side is enjoying a successful tour of West Africa thus far.
The Brave Warriors B team have been impressive on their outings to date and earned a 1-1 draw with 2011/10 Ghana Premier League champions Aduana FC on Friday. Tigers defender Steven Sabatha scored for the Namibians just before the break, while Roger Katjiteo’s effort was ruled out for offsideOverall the team is reportedly ‘behaving well and focused on making the tour successful’.The team got the chance to watch the Ghanaian FA Cup Final featuring the legendary Abedi Pele’s first-division side Nania Stars, who shocked premier club Asante Kotoko 1-0. The team’s next game will be on Saturday in Accra where they are based, against Togo’s national under-20 side.They still have to play Benin, as that encounter had to be rescheduled due to a technical glitch.
