Body Balance camp in May

BANK Windhoek and Body Balance will stage the first Balance Kids Camp for this year during the coming school holiday.

This camp will be hosted in Windhoek from May 11 to 15.
At the launch of the event recently, the Head of Corporate Communication and Social Investment at Bank Windhoek, Riaan van Rooyen, said: ‘We believe that a healthy body houses a healthy mind. The younger talent within kids can be identified, the better the chances of that kid achieving sporting success. The Bank Windhoek Body Balance Kids Camp will assist in identifying talent amongst our youngsters’.
The event will cover soccer, hockey, roller hockey, functional training, boot camp, tennis and karate. All the participants will undergo professional training in all the codes.
The groups will be limited to 12 participants to ensure personal attention and there are only 50 places available.
‘Parents should act swiftly to make use of this opportunity. After the camp reports on each participant will be made available, so parents will have an idea of the child’s talents,’ said Ulla Finkeldey of Body Balance.
One of the organisers, Heiko Diehl, managing partner at Proactive Sports Marketing and Management, said: ‘The Namibia National Olympic Committee is endorsing the Bank Windhoek Body Balance Kids Camp as it is seen as a development programme. We shall be able to identify talent at a very young age and hopefully integrate the identified talent into the sporting structures’.
The cost for each participant is N$250 for the whole week. The Camp will be run from 07h30 to 13h00 daily.
