FIFTEEN-MONTH-OLD Wiseman Mukongo from Otjiwarongo has a serious heart defect and needs heart surgery that will cost between N$150 000 and N$200 000.
According to his parents, Lukas and Aletta Mukongo, Wiseman needs surgery at the Chris Barnard Memorial Hospital in Cape Town next month.
They are appealing for donations to help cover the costs of the operation.
They have medical aid coverage, but will be responsible for 30 per cent (N$45 000 to N$60 000) of the operation cost, 20 per cent of their travel costs and their accommodation fees in Cape Town.
