A BABY girl – estimated to be two days old – was found dumped and dead in a manhole alongside the Oshakati-Ongwediva main road at the Kandjengedi informal settlement, Oshakati, on Saturday morning.
A woman from Kandjengedi who went to draw water from the manhole found the body and reported the discovery to the Oshakati Police Station. Police are trying to trace the mother and have asked the community for their help.Four weeks ago the skeleton of a baby wrapped in a plastic bag was found in the area.The body of the baby found in the manhole was also inside a plastic bag but had been flushed out of the bag by the water.Police are trying to trace the mother and have asked the community for their help.
