Apply for certificates early:Police

PEOPLE requiring certificates of good conduct issued by the Namibian Police should apply to their nearest Police station at least two months before the expiry of their visas, work permits or other relevant documents.

A press release issued by the Police this week said regional stations post these applications to the Criminal Record Centre in Windhoek only once a week, and they are received after seven days. “This [the processing] is done manually and it takes one to two weeks.Applicants with criminal records and pending cases may take longer than a month,” read the statement. All enquiries can be directed to the Police stations where the documentation was submitted.”This [the processing] is done manually and it takes one to two weeks.Applicants with criminal records and pending cases may take longer than a month,” read the statement. All enquiries can be directed to the Police stations where the documentation was submitted.
