The Bank Windhoek Cancer Apple Project in aid of the Cancer Association of Namibia was a huge success this year, with 558 000 apples sold. This year, 150 000 more apples were sold than last year.
Since the beginning of the fundraiser in 2001 the Bank has raised more than N$4 million for CAN. This is the biggest fundraiser for the Cancer Association of Namibia. The mammoth task of getting the apples, sorting them and distributing them countrywide was made possible by Fruit & Veg City, H&H Furniture Removals, Fedex Express, Nampost Couriers and I-S Freight Services.
