EARLIER this month my wife and I had the good fortune to visit your country.
We were stunned at the incredible natural beauty everywhere we went. This, along with the friendliness of the people, made our holiday very special. There was, however, one part of our trip which left a lot to be desired. For the main part we stayed in privately owned lodges or hotels, having been previously advised of the poor condition of the camps in various locations, particularly Etosha. When we arrived at Etosha our fears were confirmed. The bungalows were dirty, badly maintained and in general the staff were not representative of the Namibian people.May I respectfully suggest that if Namibia is to expand its tourist potential, this most unwanted problem should be addressed immediately.Neil W.Wright UKThis, along with the friendliness of the people, made our holiday very special. There was, however, one part of our trip which left a lot to be desired. For the main part we stayed in privately owned lodges or hotels, having been previously advised of the poor condition of the camps in various locations, particularly Etosha. When we arrived at Etosha our fears were confirmed. The bungalows were dirty, badly maintained and in general the staff were not representative of the Namibian people.May I respectfully suggest that if Namibia is to expand its tourist potential, this most unwanted problem should be addressed immediately.Neil W.Wright UK
