Animal welfare meeting in City

THE World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) Africa regional office based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, held a two-day workshop on dog population management in Windhoek this week.

The objectives of the workshop are to enhance the participants’ knowledge of pets like dogs and cats, strengthen relationships between member societies and share information and experience on different approaches to effective stray animal population control. The workshop drew participants from Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Seychelles, Ethiopia, Swaziland, Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe, Tanzania and South Africa.WSPA is the world’s largest federation of animal welfare organisations, with a growing network of over 840 member societies in more than 150 countries.It has 13 regional offices and hundreds of thousands of supporters worldwide.With consultative status within the United Nations and observer status at the Council of Europe, WSPA is building a united global animal welfare movement to further its vision of a world where animal welfare matters, and animal cruelty ends.The workshop drew participants from Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Seychelles, Ethiopia, Swaziland, Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe, Tanzania and South Africa.WSPA is the world’s largest federation of animal welfare organisations, with a growing network of over 840 member societies in more than 150 countries.It has 13 regional offices and hundreds of thousands of supporters worldwide.With consultative status within the United Nations and observer status at the Council of Europe, WSPA is building a united global animal welfare movement to further its vision of a world where animal welfare matters, and animal cruelty ends.
