Alleged abuser refused bail

OSHAKATI – A 37-year-old man from Ongwediva, who is accused of abusing his girlfriend, was on Friday refused bail by the Oshakati Magistrate’s Court.

Walde Wadile Ricardo appeared in court briefly on four charges of assault with intent to do bodily harm, malicious damage to property, assault by threat and arson. His case was adjourned until March 23, pending the completion of Police investigations.Sources close to the girlfriend claim that Ricardo had lived in his girlfriend’s house but was kicked out recently because of alleged misconduct.After she refused to allow him into the house, he allegedly smashed the windows of the victim’s bedroom and torched it.He then allegedly attacked the victim, threatened to kill her and stabbed her with a knife all over her body.- NampaHis case was adjourned until March 23, pending the completion of Police investigations.
