Organizers of the JTL Beukes Primary School winter party bash say all is set for the event from 20h00 on Friday, when attendees will be entertained by langarm and jazz artist Gyzie.
Chief event manager Jack Matende says the bash, to be held in the school hall, aims to welcome winter in a fun and entertaining way.
Proceeds from the event will contribute towards raising funds to rehabilitate the school’s sport facilities, which have not been in use in recent years.
“In the past, the school was the best and we as school board, school management and entire community want to stand together to reclaim our place in sports.
“This event is very different from all other events that we have held before. With this event, we welcome winter in a fun way and urge the public to dance the cold away. We do believe that this is the best time to attract all dance lovers in Rehoboth. At the bash, the crowd can look forward to dance all night to different music remixed to fit baster dance and other Namibian dance moves,” he says.
There will be a cash bar, soup and bread, as well as kapana for sale.
“The event is for a good cause. Let’s come and support the school. Let us flock in numbers and support and help better a school for our future leaders,” Matende adds.
