In a major development for Namibian boxing, AC Boxing Academy has officially launched the AC Super Six Boxing League, targeting grassroots talent in the Khomas Region.
This initiative is spearheaded by renowned promoter Imms Moses, who believes it is time to return to the roots and invest in developing the next generation of boxing champions.
“This is how we groomed champions like Flame Nangolo, the current WBO Africa Super Featherweight champion, and rising stars like Harry Simon Jr.,” said Moses.
“We need to build from the ground up if we want to dominate the sport on the continent.”
The league will feature boxers competing in the following six weight divisions:
Welterweight, light welterweight, lightweight, featherweight, bantamweight and flyweight.
Each participating club is allowed to register one boxer per weight category.
The registration deadline is on 8 May 2025, while clubs must be in good standing with the Khomas Boxing Federation and must have fully paid their affiliation fees before the registration closes.
“The AC Super Six promises to be a stepping stone for young boxers to rise through the ranks and make a name for themselves nationally and internationally. Stay tuned for more updates as the league unfolds,” Moses said.
