3 nabbed over cellphones

THE discovery of 154 cellphones hidden in fruit juice containers in the luggage of passengers who arrived in Windhoek on a bus from Johannesburg led to the arrest of two Congolese citizens and an Angolan on Saturday.

The three were arrested after members of the Namibian Police’s Drug Law Enforcement Unit performed a routine search of their luggage, Detective Chief Inspector Barry de Klerk, the Commanding Officer of the Drug Law Enforcement Unit, said yesterday.
