Parliament wishes Olympians well

PARLIAMENT on Wednesday wished Namibia’s Olympic representatives well.

On behalf of parliamentarians, acting Speaker of the National Assembly Peter Katjavivi extended “best wishes to the Namibian men and women who will be participating in the forthcoming Olympic Games”. Katjavivi said the athletes should try to mirror the achievements of  Frank Fredericks , who is a two-time Olympic double medallist. “The nation will stand with the team as they tussle it out and as they keep the Namibian flag flying in the United Kingdom,” Katjavivi said.
 The Namibian team leaves for London today.
