Duathlon race in Katutura

THE first PAY/T-Rex ‘Tura’ Duathlon will take place this Sunday between 07h00 and 12h00, the organisers have announced.

This will be the first duathlon to be organised and raced in Katutura, a wonderful opportunity that arose due to the progression of Physically Active Youth’s (PAY) cycling programme.
Over the past several years, PAY’s cycling team has achieved commendable successes by competing and winning a wide variety of local races. Recently, athletes of the cycling team participated in biathlon and duathlon competitions with impressive results.
All eight athletes placed top five in the T-Rex Iron Child Duathlon Race, and two athletes finished first overall in the Red Square Duathlon.
As a result, the T-Rex company and Physically Active Youth have agreed to co-host a duathlon race in Katutura instead of the usual setting of Olympia.
A variety of age groups, including veterans (40 and older), elite (19-39), junior (17-19), under 16 (15-16), and under 14 (11-14) will do a run-bike-run course in pursuit of their personal best times and victory.
Registration for all races will take place from 07h00 to 08h00 in front of the PAY Centre at the Katutura Youth Complex.
