Food for Thought
*IT is amazing why we like to sensationalise and dramatise issues to an extent that the value in them is lost. I’m thinking here of two recent happenings. One is the proposed new political region. There could be merit in both arguments for and against but the whole issue was taken out of context when initial reports indicated that the region was proposed to be called Ondonga Region. The other is the “stupid” remark attributed to Deputy Minister Tweya Tjekero. The essence of his whole powerful and soul searching message has been lost by this ‘war’ we are witnessing. And who is the ultimate loser in this instance?
*ADOLF Hitler (1933 – 1939) removed religious education in state schools. Do we really need such leadership style in Namibia? You can’t remove God out of government. Our daily affairs expect success. All things start and end with God.
*NFA Secretary General, a national team is not a development academy. We have to get a winning team first. Developing players is not the national team responsibility. What the nation needs is results.
*TRAFFIC fines were raised years ago to reduce accidents. Today, with 50 000 outstanding fines, people still die in accidents! It’s clear that it’s too expensive for low income drivers and students. Please reduce the fines.
Bouquest and Brickbats
*TJEKERO Tweya, you did say Namibians are dumb for not thinking outside the box. Stop being a child and do something worthwhile for the salary we pay you.
*IS Cassinga Day a national day or Swapo day? I saw the President and other national leaders in Swapo colours instead of national colours. Stop hijacking national days!
*THUMBS up to Veikko Nghiwete for suing Veiko Nekundi. It has taught him a good lesson not to insult senior leaders to that extend. That also calls on fellow Namibians not to do the same.
*EVERY time I watch Floyd Maywheather’s fight I cry tears because his skills reminds me of Harry Simon. Please Harry, where are you? We want you to put the final stamp on your legacy, like Maywheather is doing now.
*IT Seems like DStv has also joined NBC on the backward moving train. They are showing 1977 James bond movies every single day.
*COULD NamPol in Oshana Region please focus on doing a good job arresting murderers and rapists instead of harassing cancer awareness campaigners at Ondangwa Airport.
*TOURISTS or terrorists! The government of Namibia must deal with those tourists who flew into Namibia without permits. It does not matter whether they are cancer awareness campaigners. They brought a security risk to the country. How is flying to tourist destinations a cancer campaign anyway? If they broke Namibia’s law, then they must be dealt with.
*THE Casinga plane incident clearly demonstratee the absolute incompetency of any and all of Namibia’s so-called armed forces. And to enhance the image of the racism displayed, they arrest 22 tourist and release them without an apology or explanation later. I hope the South Africa tourists will lay hard compensation claims against the incompetents.
*THE South African’s who were arrested at the Ondanwa Airport must not leave our country before they tell the truth. They must not bribe our people. Namibia is not a province or a region of South Africa.
*NBC Oshiwambo Service, please get rid of that boy called Maldini. He is too childish. His jokes on air doesn’t make any sense.
*I’M SUPPORTING Governor Clemence Kashuupulwa against the Ondonga Region. Whatsoever name they gave to their tribal region, it is as Kashuupula said it is! Governor Kashuupula does not owe anyone an apology.
*CLEMENCE Kashuupulwa is misleading the nation. Ondangwa was the first town in the north but the last to develop. All the government offices have moved to Oshakati. After twenty three years of independence, there is no hospital or tarred road in Ondangwa, no soccer field while there are two in Oshakati. It is him who is blind to see the development.
*FELLOW Namibian citizens, the Oshana Governor is to be blamed for this mess. The information about Ondonga Region is incorrect and misleading the nation. 0ndonga is not the name that was suggested at all. He must correct this mess as a matter of urgency.
*THE media has not been fair to the Ondonga Traditional Authority and its people. All these days it is flooded with complaints of an alleged Ondonga Region proposal. The Delimitation Committee, to which the proposal was submitted, has been silent. The spokesperson of that authority made it clear that the proposed name is Peter Nanyemba and not Ondonga. Can the Oshana Governor please tell the nation where he got the Ondonga Region story from.
*MOOLA Mobile, please take note that,we are sick and tired of spending a lot of money in your so-called competition. The nation request you to be fair.
*MINISTRY of transport (government garage), how on earth does the control artisan foreman go to monitor the garage instead of the nearest chief clerk? The deputy director for the government garage needs to be reshuffled or he must resign.
– Reshuffled
Service Please
*SWAPO in Tsumkwe district, do you want us to bribe you in order to become members? What is going on?
*THE University of Namibia should bring changes at the book shop where the student cards system is always off or else the students should get their money back from the book cards. Do not scavenge off people.
*STATION Commander of Tses Police, are you a station commander or a driver of the station? There is no single day you are in your office! We are visiting and calling the station to talk to you but you are never in the office. Are there no other drivers to drive so that you remain in your office?
*NATIS Valley, your service is beyond poor and will never improve. I dialled three numbers and not one was picked up.
Suggestion Box
*PRESIDENT Hifikepunye Pohamba, please help. Let City of Windhoek just sell the erven as priced instead of finding an average (median) price between highest & lowest offer. Help please.
Education
*WITH a strong, visionary and passionate leader supported by a strong, seasoned principal from one of our well performing high schools as deputy director, the Khomas Region shall regain its number one position on the performance ladder.
*IUM, for how long are we going to wait for our 2012 loan refund. I’m tired of waiting.
*MINISTER of education, are you aware that learners at Onathinge Combined School and many more at the schools in Onathinge Circuit are not promoted when they fail a grade twice? Please investigate!
Health
*THANK you to the Ministry of Health for taking up that responsibility of training registered nurses and tying them up. Unam have failed the ministry with poor training of nursers while demanding a lot of money. Thanks Richard Kamwi.
*RICHARD Kamwi, the Rundu State Hospital is extremely dirty and untidy. The cats are roaming around in the surgical ward where patients and babies are to recover. The floors are falling apart, the place smells of urine, old beds and chairs are visible all around, the bathrooms, toilets and basins are dirty. Please, workers are getting paid for doing nothing. The service you get from nurses are good but it’s not healthy to work in such an environment!
*MINISTRY of Health, look at the Nissan pick-up used as an ambulance for the Mangetti Health Centre in the Tsumkwe district. It has a damaged screen, worn out tyres and not road worthy. Is this not a risk to the patients and nurses lives?
