Food for thought
*TO the person complaining about the amount of traffic tickets: there is a very simple solution. If you do not break the law you will not get fined!
*GOVERNMENT, give me that house on Conradie and Love St. While your faithful citizens cannot afford the exorbitant house prices, you want to destroy homes instead. Government, is there any logic in this?
*MINISTRY of Education, those learners who bought the NSSCO English and Agriculture papers must just be totally disqualified from further exams. Let them write their NSSCO Exams in 2013/14 please!
*WHILE I have sympathy with everybody whose neighbours are party animals, what about us poor suckers who are surrounded by barking and howling dogs 24/7, 365 days per year? Who can we turn to? City of Windhoek, SPCA or City police? We also need rest and quietness but nobody cares.
Bouquets and Brickbats
*OUR own President is selfish. He is getting everything for free yet another salary increment, vir wat kama? Penda.
*THANKS so much honourable Petrina Haingura for the good words of advice you gave to the Namibian nation about passion killing. Namibian men and women should really change, that will not land on deaf ears.
– Anna
*INSPECTOR-General Ndeitunga we want to see arrests in the GIPF saga not a progress story on NBC! Come on you know them!
*GOVERNMENT raises 60 per cent taxes on imported cement while its citizens cannot afford to build houses. It raises 60 per cent export duty on hides while politicians own tanneries, injuring the exports of these products and killing a local export industry. When will Namibians realise what their leaders are actually up to? They are definitely not acting in the interests of the country!
*CHILD prostitution should not be tolerated in Namibia. We must fight it with everything we have and protect our girls.
– Donne, Okahandja
*I AM really enjoying your SMS page. Wondering whether Swapo members and leaders are reading them as well?
*COUNCIL staff held hostage by a so called law maker and a honourable councillor? He should remember that ability may get you to the top, but it takes character to keep you there. We are tired, Swapo should think again.
*NAMPOST Ausspannplatz, do staff smoke inside the office? Please respect your customers. The smell of cigarettes is too much.
*I WANT to say thanks to warrant Bello in the Oshakati police station, Tate Bello you know your work, if you were not there our family could have died. You always make sure that you take prisoners to the hospital.
– From Itembu’s family
*WHAT an embarrassment for the principal and HOD, fighting in front of teachers and learners? Exchanging insults while learners are listening. You only get those at Lisikili Combined School in Caprivi. Please Minister take action.
*IN this country of ours we will never go forward with the greedy mentality which the majority of our superiors have. Most of our leaders do not take pride in their jobs, for them it’s just a thing about money! This is frustrating. We need leaders who are willing to share the fruits of the nation, so the whole nation can benefit and by that there will be a good working spirit for our country.

NBC
*THE short film that was aired by the NBC on Sunday, ‘Long walk Home’ was very good. It has been a long time since I enjoyed our own product. Keep it up and repeat it again please!
*‘THE Week That Was’, that’s true! How can a person be proud in Namibia while I gain nothing?
City Fathers
*CITY of Windhoek cut my water for debt of N$2000 and land tax, but my friend owes them more than N$26 000 and still has running water.
*WINDHOEKERS! Its time we take a stand against artificial housing prices. My parents fought for the liberation of this land and I can’t buy a home for my children. City of Windhoek and the government has a tight lid on this issue and we the people shall not be fooled!
*CITY of Windhoek... Is there any free parking in Windhoek? I constantly must have coins for these car vendors all over town. Do they not get a salary? Is it even legal for them to be out there? Who is in charge of these people?
– Manga M
*OKAHANDJA Park, we students are suffering noise pollution during the day, jukeboxes at night and have to use generators. At least provide electricity and we will be able to do our school work.

Service Please
*MONITRONIC Success College, I Demsie Johannes Cosmos Hoeseb want my Certificate before next Monday or I’m going to sue you. It has been a long time (almost three years).
*BARRY Rukoro! Please pay the countrywide second division their money, we are not asking for sponsorship, this is our prize money for last season. How do you think we should be able to register for new season? Selfish you!
*FNB home loan first of all I want to know, why are access bonds there, it seems we black people can’t get loans, because we are crooks or what? We are sitting with a child who must go for an operation, we went to the bank because our medical aid is exhausted. Up to now we are still paying the doctor in Cape Town. Please CEO of FNB, look into this.
*VERY disappointed in the poor service of the Labour Ministry team which refused to assist elderly pensioners in Ovitoto this past weekend (GRN 86101). They were rude, non-cooperative and had no patience for the elderly and helpless citizens. Minister Ngatjizeko please deal sternly with the responsible officials.

*STANDARD bank Grootfontein is frustrating, very poor service. ATMs are even worse.
*I HAVE just tried to make an enquiry at Jet Stores Maerua. The manager there refused to tell me her surname, apparently because she thinks I might be joking. I addressed a total stranger about a formal complaint using her first name. What kind of business is this? Head office in Gauteng is no better – consumer protection should take a long, hard look at these people.
*IF you need service from FNB in Swakopmund over the counter you definitely need to put in a day’s leave at work.
*STANDARD Bank Home Loans, your consultants are lazy and lie to clients. I gave in an application and I was told the valuations would be done in a week’s time, it has been three weeks now and nobody has turned up yet. You will loose your loyal clients if you don’t get your house in order.
– Disappointed Client!
*WE are tired of Witvlei village council, please honourable minister do something because residents are suffering a lot. We get bills charged with high taxes and rates with no satisfying explanations. If you do enquiries regarding the bills, councillors failed to hold community meetings and there are no projects in Witvlei.
*FNB in Eenhana! The town is growing, what are you waiting for? We need more ATMs please. Improve please, otherwise you remain with few people that are happy with your poor service.

Labour
*WHY does the President have to intervene in Natau and Trans Namib’s deadlock? Those employees are low paid already. They are below market remuneration. Why didn’t he intervene in NBC and Polytec? Could it be because their action couldn’t affect the economy? This shows how crucial TransNamib is. Let justice and fairness prevail. Pay the people. There is money in Namibia.
*NANTU what are you doing? We don’t see your work, we can just see your strong relationship with Swapo. You don’t represent the interests of the teachers.Teachers alternative is the TUN and it’s waiting for us.
*EDUCATION, fuel prices up, food prices up, everything up except teacher’s salaries. Down with Nantu, shame on you. Disgrace to teachers.
Civil Servants
*LOWER ranked soldiers at Okahandja are suffering, a 22 seater bus transporting members living in Windhoek, only about 10 officers but low ranks are left behind to go hike, very unfair.
– Suffering soldier
*TELL me when are we going to get increments for the 2012/2013 financial year. Is it going to happen or not? Please stop keeping us in the dark.
*WHEN will the ministry of Defence review its policy on which all its member are being covered by an insurance for funeral benefits with no policy number? If you resigned or are dismissed, then you have just contributed for others, you will not benefit. ACC and honourable Tjiriange can you find out for the men and women in uniform?
