n FINANCE Deputy Minister Schlettwein laments the Neckartal project’s delays and inflation cost increases and foregone revenue streams, pointing at organisational deficiencies. Well, inflation costs are balanced by higher tax revenues, while I’m happy our Government has tidied up procedures, rotated corrupt officials out of the way, and saved us immense corruption costs. Thank you very much.

n I SUGGEST that all competition organisers do their draws live on NBC or One Africa TV. That’s the only fair way.

n BEN Mulongeni, is it only the struggle kids who need jobs? What about us who also struggled inside Namibia under colonial oppression? We also need jobs. Next election only the struggle kids must vote. Enough is enough!
Politics
n I’M not against Ngurare and the new kid on the block (Job Amupanda). Do they know that they can be fired anytime before the congress? They should be careful because politics is a dirty game.
n CAN those old men leave Kazenambo alone? Where were they when Kazenambo was carrying his bazooka day and night? Please tell this modern SPYL to leave the old cadres alone. We were fighting with empty stomachs just to be called names. Pasop!
Bernadus Swartbooi
n IF SPYL said the Karas governor is not performing, then it must be something personal! Can’t you see the changes so far in Karas region?

Bouquets and Brickbats
n FOR the slowest service in town come to MTC Maerua Mall.
n MANAGEMENT of the Windhoek Show, you are not fair. Why charge N$40 for adults and N$20 for kids? You are preventing people from entering the show and make stands very expensive. For your standard stall you charge N$4 000 while Ongwediva charges N$2 500 and they are better than you. They let the public enter free of charge on opening day and their fee is N$10 per adult and N$5 per child. You must change, you are milking people.
n DEAR presenter of the Sunday programme ‘New Season’, please stop playing Caroline and Muanjitile every Sunday. We have a lot of Gospel artists in our country. We like the programme but play music from more artists.
n NBC, What is the use of paying our TV license if your corporation is for lower quality? We will not pay anymore!

n YOUTHPAPER, October 2 page 3: Good topical article and lay out. Pity though that a picture of a tongue piercing is used to imply association with risk taking, that’s so backward.
It’s a risk if the equipment with, or environment in, which the piercing is done is not clean and safe.

n THE quickest way to double your money is to fold it and put it back in your pocket. Stop falling for foolish scams.
n UNITED House, at the Office of the Prime Minister has been dry since Tuesday. The whole office block smells of pooh and urine. The toilets are blocked with news-and toiletpaper, to the brim. I had no choice but to sneak into our good neighbour (Spur Steak Ranch Restaurant) to relieve myself. What a shame and embarrassment. Nahas Angula, things are really falling apart.
– Gatvol Public Servant
n BANK Windhoek Outapi is very slow in assisting customers during month end. Tellers are assisting us but are chatting among themselves and leave the counter with no one to assist us. It’s also very hot in the bank.
– Worried customer
n POLYTECH admin closed during lunch time and weekends. When are working students supposed to make their payments or inquiries? We have to skip work and get into trouble every time!
Labour
n WHAT the hell? KFC is not providing two pieces of chicken for its employees to eat. We work with food but no more eating it. Please Nafau or Ministry of Labor help us.
Education
n ABRAHAM Iyambo, we need a department for Life Science/Biology and Agriculture. These subjects cannot be managed under maths and physical science. This undermines leadership of other specialisations. Soon we will talk the language you understand minister. That’s ‘chalk down’ for agric, life science/biology teachers.

n THIS country is endowed with vast stretches of marine life but we can’t even afford to open up a maritime department at Polytechnic. Neither do we see vacancies, bursaries or loans for students to further their studies in these disciplines. Our oceans will be forever controlled by foreigners if we don’t change our attitudes. We want to see students obtaining degrees in nautical studies, as navigation officers and marine engineers etc.
n WE Namcol learners are disappointed in the listening comprehension exam of October 2. Just imagine a huge group of learners listening in a very big hall at Ramatex where the echo is very loud. We couldn’t even hear a word and the Ministry of Education expects us to pass English. Why do we have to be punished like this? Does it mean because we go to Namcol we should be treated like garbage? We raised our hands but they just ignored us. We are wasting our money and time.
n INSPECTORS please help our kids in Otavi. Some teachers are absent every day and our kids suffer. They are at the clubs during school hours. Ask the principal.
n WINDHOEK VTC trainees are competent but our management is failing us. We need the government to intervene. We need to be exposed to industries via industrial/job attachments but our management have a problem with proper marketing mechanisms.
n MANAGEMENT of Windhoek VTC is becoming a problem and the Namibian people must know what is going on. No internal assessments, lack of proper involvement with trainees and they just sit in their offices. If you are management you should take responsibility. If not, you must be removed.
Health
n MINISTER Kamwi please give Opuwo State Hospital a doctor for HIV patients. They are taking tablets for years without seeing a doctor?
n I THOUGHT Namibia had a medical school in Windhoek. Why are we then sending medical students to Cuba?
Service Please
n KARIBIB Municipality and Erongo Red, what is going on with your lack of electricity and water lately? Please also sort out the gravel roads in town, they are an absolute disgrace, never mind the damage they cause to our cars and our health! We are all more than GATVOL!
Civil Servants
n NAMIBIAN people, how do you expect a dog to bark and protect you if it’s hungry? NDF and police’s salaries are extremely low and shameful. The president must take action to increase their wages. The majority of them are earning just under N$4 000.
In and from
the Regions
n REMOVAL of the so-called tarred road from Oshakati to Omungwelume made it worse. Just wait, you will soon see loss of lives because of extreme dust throughout the day. Do something!
n COUNCILLOR of Eenhana, Oniipa and Omulanga, when is the Oshigambo-Eenhana road going to be tarred? Consider the condition of the road and the traffic density. Or do we have to suffer because we don’t have a minister from that area? During the liberation struggle we were suffering. Minister of Works, open your eyes?
n MINISTER of Works, do something about the gravel road from Tsandi to Onesi and Epalela and also from Olupaka to Onesi. Since independence Uukolonkandhi residents have not enjoyed the development of this country. Why?
n I’M in Omulonga constituency in the Ohangwena Region. We are tired of the under development of our village. Otunganga is a village where war took place but you left us with no electricity, roads or water. Please President Pohamba and council, be aware of our problems.
