Food for Thought
*STOLEN meat recovered in Katutura. Please tell me, why do we have people at the roadblocks? How much are we paying those officers who sleep most of the time and allow criminals to pass with dagga, stolen meat etc?
*PETROTEK saga: Owambo and Hereros are children of the same mother. Let them sort their issues out. Isaiah Kavendjii, answer the question on money that you gave yourself and others, are these funds the only funds on loan?
Bouquets and Brickbats
*THUMBS up to Katutura State Hospital, especially Ward 2 B. I was hospitalised there and I can testify about the dedication and caring attitude of the nurses there and even the cleaning staff. The rooms and bathrooms were spotlessly clean, no cockroaches or full dustbins. Thank you 2B staff.
*KATUTURA Hospital, mice are moving freely in some wards.
*KUDOS to James Hansen for walking from Kalkrand to Windhoek over corruption! A true brave warrior. More Namibians should be like him, instead of always demanding things. Fight for what you believe in!
n I support James Hansen for saying most people are cowards. For real, we tolerate nonsense that is really visible right in our faces. We should stand up right now!

Law and Order
*MINISTER of Safety and Security Nickey Iyambo please visit Rehoboth police station and see the cars being used at the charge office. It is a shame to your ministry. Give the police cars so that they can fight crime. Currently they do it with one old car. Bravo Rehoboth police. Keep it up.
*CAN the Minister of Works and Transport stop issuing taxi permits in Windhoek? The market is overcrowded. And can the City Police please weed out all pirate taxis? We are struggling to make a profit.

From the regions
*ACC please send better investigation officers to Witvlei. There is corruption in all the projects. Come and check who got tenders and how the money is spent.
Education
*PORNO during office hours by Government officials is just the tip of the iceberg. I am aware of sex during official hours in government offices and school science labs in Keetmanshoop. They know themselves. I mean if a teacher who is supposed to help instil moral values into our children does this, what could one expect from the learners? I will soon expose them to the minister because I am sure our Ministers of Education would be very interested.
*NAMCOL Director, the way your institution treats us the tutors is unacceptable. Please seek audience with us to hear our complaints for the sake of better results. We are demotivated, demoralised by the way you treat us as professionals. I am sure Namcol will not reach its core objectives if this treatment continues.
*TEACHERS at Tsumkwe are still waiting for their bush allowances. We have been very patient. Do something or we will down tools.
*WHY are most principals’ vacancies filled by acting people in Hardap Region? Are there no suitable people for promotion? A good excuse for poor results!
*IT is so sad when you call parents in about the behaviour of their children at school and they tell you that their kids do not even listen to them. And these are primary school children.
*MUHOPI Primary School in Kavango Region is one of the neglected schools. No staffroom, the floors of two classrooms are damaged. Learners sit as if in a boat (no balance). Cleaning the classroom with a damaged floor. Can you imagine the dust from cement? And the ministry is saying that they will only repair after some years.
*SOME schools still have their woodwork equipment and classrooms. Please bring the subject back in those schools. The directors know about the schools. Many children will get skills to start own businesses after school.
*ONE can see that Minister Abraham Iyambo is back in office. For the first time since last year, there’s again responses to SMSes about education.
Health Matters
*THE reshuffle of regional directors in the Ministry of Health does not surprise us in the ministry because Minister Richard Kamwi is afraid of the directors at the head office were he is also working. Why is he failing to transfer them also? The regional directors in regions are better than directors at the head office. Clean up the mess at head office first if you want us to have trust in you.
*I AM sorry to communicate via SMS. Karas regional office seems to have an agenda with the Keetmanshoop District Hospital and the facilities. Transport is a major problem. Whenever vehicles are received from head office only Karasburg and Lüderitz districts are favoured. Koës, Tses and Berseba clinics are not given transport. Tses and Berseba clinics are currently sharing a bakkie which was previously use at regional office. This bakkie was meant to be for ARV clinic but was hijacked by regional health office. When the districts enquired about the ARV vehicle after three years the bakkies were then given to the districts. Currently a bus which is supposed to be at Keetmanshoop Hospital for transport of patients is standing at the regional office. It transports staff to workshops, funny! I will be grateful if the permanent secretary investigates the matter and does away with the rotten apples who overruled the previous director.
Money matters
*LETSHEGO is killing civil servants with their loans. There is no limit on borrowing from them. Can Namfisa please investigate Letshego’s loan scheme?
Labour Issues
*I fail to understand why Ministry of Youth takes four years to give full-time employment to Namibian volunteers. Every month the only feedback we get is ‘next month we will send your appointment letters’ yet no results. Can someone please look into this.
*MINISTRY of Labour you told the security guards that the minimum wage is going to be paid as from July 1 but it’s not happening. Our bosses tell us it’s not even signed into law.
*DURING the previous regime a cleaner working in government was able to buy a house, but now they cannot. Why? First the houses are too expensive and second the wages of cleaners and labourers are too low. Government must adjust the salaries. Enough is enough. Otwaloloka!
