Food For Thought
* IT IS funny that ‘lawmakers’ who have not studied law make laws and the sentences when someone breaks them. The people who studied law just enforce these laws. I can imagine how painful it might be for magistrates and judges when handing down judgement because the gravity of the offences in many cases does not match the sentences.

Election Issues
* PLEASE let us enjoy democracy, it is beautiful. There are those who cannot live with it because they are used to dictatorship. But they made a mistake by subscribing to the system. What now? Even the door-to-door campaign issue, which is being dramatised, is part of democracy. There’s no violence recorded so far as a result of the strategy. I pity those who hate democracy because they have no choice.
* TO SOME of our leaders, the more their followers are ignorant, the more votes they can score. These leaders feel threatened when their followers listen to a different view. Is this really democracy?
* MY understanding of Police responsibility is that they must keep law and order in a neutral way. Not to decide and preach where the political parties should or should not campaign?

* IT WAS just advice that it would not be safe for politicians to go door-to-door, it was not a restraining order. Like the majority who put Swapo in power I do not want the opposition near my house, but I have no problem attending their rallies.
* I READ some of the SMSes in the newspaper of August 19 that say to not vote for five more years of hell! This Ref: does this mean we should not go to vote or what? Let people vote, the law must be enforced and punish individuals who steal public funds. Voting is your right. Let people go to vote.

* HONOURABLE Pohamba! Imagine the Municipality of Tsumeb cutting off our water because we just did not pay for one month. The funny part is they don’t tend to realise the elections are around the corner. Things like this they take so simple can make you lose votes and every vote counts remember.

The Flu

* CAN somebody from the Department of Health please go and inspect the place at WCP where the inmates receive contact visits. It is a real health risk. I shiver to think how it must look on the inside if it looks like that on the outside.

* THE inefficient payment system of GRN has now caused private doctors to demand full payment for services rendered. The member must then claim from the PSEMAS. It will result in serious repercussions should a member or beneficiary fall ill, and you do not have the cash to pay the doctor. GRN medical department get your act together, there are contagious diseases going around.

* HONOURABLE Minister of Health, the community of Omuthiya is having a problem with the clinic at Omuthiya. During the night there are no persons attending those who are seriously sick and those who are bitten by snakes. How can one think of survival from snakebite if they are to be treated at Okatope clinic which is about 50 km away. We need somebody to be on duty during the night. To save lives of the poor people, those who don’t have transport or money to book those who have transport.

* MTC it’s a disgrace to black race to see in your advert of LG cellphone a black lady literally licking the earlobe of a white man, it shows racial inferiority. We blacks mostly support you and it’s offensive to us, giving a feeling of prostitution. Why not white lady licking black man? Remove this advert and change it with something else that will not depict one race in a bad light. Wake up. Namibia is independent!
