South African model sashays onto Forbes list

South African model Candice Swanepoel has made it onto the Forbes Top 10 models list, according to a report on Monday.

The Times newspaper said Swanepoel’s earnings was estimated at R26-million for the year from May 1 last year.
The 23-year-old model is the youngest on the list, which was released at the weekend.
In an interview with Marie Claire magazine, the 23-year-old beauty, who sparked fears for her health last year after losing a considerable amount of weight, says: “It has been a hectic year and I was travelling a lot so I naturally lost weight.
“I was basically living on a plane. My metabolism is fast so if I don’t eat every few hours, I burn it up quickly and plane food isn’t the most nutritious.”
“People don’t realise how physical my job is, so it’s easy to judge. But I’ve learned to deal with negativity,” she added.
