Chickens in Police custody at Gobabis
GOBABIS – The Omaheke police have called on people who are missing chickens in and around Gobabis to contact them.
The Epako police station commander, Sergeant Johannes Shilumbu, says there are five chickens in custody at the station.
He said officers who patrolled the Epako area on the night of May 17 spotted two men carrying the chickens behind the Epako High School.
“They were about to enter the Canaan informal settlement when the police vehicle drove in their direction.
When they saw a police vehicle coming, the men dropped the chickens and disappeared into the dark,” said Shilumbu.
Nobody has claimed the chickens yet.
“Therefore, anyone missing his or her chickens in the region should come to the Epako police station and identify them,” he said. –Nampa
