Back To Apartheid?

VAKWETU, vakwetu what is this we and the world are seeing in Namibia? Is this Namibia whose President and the citizens always praise our peace and stability or is this a different Namibia?

What we saw last week has demonstrated that history repeats itself, because if one can switch back to those days of the Old Location, where the ‘Boers’ bulldozed our houses and pushed us to Katutura where we are today, the same picture immediately comes back and reminds those that were present of the same situation.
It was a shame to see people’s belongings being exposed to the public. Would you really be pleased to see your bed and personal items thrown out like that? Now that you have demolished the settlement have you anywhere these people should go to? At least Verwoerd took them to Katutura. Where are you taking them?
Comrades, we must think, consult and also should be very careful whenever we take decisions, because what we see today in countries like Mali and the Arabic countries is something any person may not want to experience in any given country.
You were against what Verwoerd and the administration did to the Namibians in the Old Location and today you are the one doing the same thing to our people after we have elected you.
We as a concerned group joined Swapo in exile when we were 13 to 15 years old and the aim was to fight the whites’ administration in Namibia so that we can have our land back.
The fight was about land and now where is the land?
It is high time now that whoever is having more than one farm must provide proof of purchase and those that are having farms and do not live in Namibia must surrender them to the government to be distributed to the needy.
This should also apply to the ministers and other Namibian elites who own more than one farm so soon after independence. How did they get them, if we all came with secondhand things from exile?
Comrades, land reform must be considered in Namibia soon or else things might turn ugly if we are not careful.
This is not a threat, but a big concern.
