More support for Ngurare, Nekundi

ANOTHER two regions have nominated Elijah Ngurare and Veikko Nekundi as their candidates for secretary and deputy secretary of the Swapo Party Youth League (SPYL) for the youth congress towards the end of August.

Ngurare and Nekundi already have the support of the Kavango, Khomas and Erongo regions and during the past weekend’s SPYL regional conferences the Hardap and Caprivi Regions also backed them.
All six districts in Caprivi were represented at the conference and elected Sarriety Sikobisho as the regional secretary, while Oscar Siyoka was elected as the information and mobilisation secretary and Nicholus Tembwe as the treasurer.
In the Hardap Region the former regional secretary, Titus Huisemab, who at one stage was one of the ringleaders to oust Ngurare, did not stand for any position, but acted as chairman at the conference.
The delegates elected Adidas Beukes as the regional secretary and JC van Wyk as the treasurer. Menthol Links was re-elected as the secretary for information and mobilisation.
