Okakarara Trade Fair to host gala event Thursday

By: STAFF REPORTER

WITH just over a month left before the start of the 2012 Okakarara Trade Fair, a gala dinner will be held in Windhoek on Thurdsay at the Old Power Station.

The Okakarara Trade Fair Society last Friday held a fund raising dinner at Okakarara and raised about N$70 000.
Chairman of the society, Roger Kambatuku, said the idea of hosting another event in Windhoek is to raise more funds to enable the society to organise a bigger and better  trade fair at the town from September 4 to 9.
“We have had great trade fairs over the years and this year we will be celebrating our sixth year and we want to make it so special and we need funds to do that.
There is lot of money that  goes into organising an event like this and since we don’t have direct funding from anywhere, we need to raise funds in  order to pull it off,” Kambatuku said.
He urged the public to heed the call and come and support the event as the Trade Fair Society sets to continue changing lives in the Okakarara constituency.
“We have changed lives, people participate at the fair and others come and see what is on display and from that they learn or earn valuable experiences that transforms their lives and we are glad to be contributing to the local economy  at the town of Okakarara as well.
Thus we need your support,” said Kambatuku. Tickets for the Windhoek gala dinner are N$250 for a single, N$450 for a couple, N$2 000 for a corporate table of five people and N$3 500 for a corporate table seating ten individuals.
The tickets are available from the society office at  081 441 4511.
