By: ABSALOM SHIGWEDHA

A MINOR earth tremor was felt in several areas of Windhoek at about 16h15 yesterday afternoon.

A number of Windhoekers called the Geophysics and Remote Sensing Division in the Ministry of Mines and Energy to alert them of a minor tremor, Geophysicist Bufelo Lushetile told The Namibian.

But he said they were still checking if it has been recorded. “We will only be able to tell tomorrow (today),” said Leshutile.

He said they have recording stations around the country, but when there is ‘an event’, the station have to record it first, and then sent the data to them.

He said calls were received from areas such as Dorado Park, Rocky Crest, Khomasdal and Hochland Park.
