Meatco pays via NamPost

MEATCO has entered into an agreement with NamPost to facilitate easy, risk-free and prompt payment to communal farmers via the NamPost smart card system.

“Instead of using the current cash payment option, Meatco will, in future, use the smart card option,” the company said Friday. 

All communal farmers can register for the new payment system at Meatco stands during regional shows, being the Okakarara trade fair from September 8 to 11, the Otjozondupa-Omaheke inter-regional show from September 6 to 10, the Okandjatu fair from September 17 to 19 and the Epukiro show from September 17 to 19. To register for a smart card, farmers should bring along valid identification, and a statement or proof of income.
