Lawmakers Must Act

YES, gender-based violence (GBV) has reached worrying and unacceptable proportions. But it is interesting to know that the only social factors increasing proportionally are poverty, income inequality, divorce, alcohol and drug abuse.

Alcohol and drug abuse results from depression, not out of poverty.
Namibia leaders are becoming known for uttering nonsensical public statements! They have the power to turn things around, but continue to pretend otherwise and act powerless.
How is the latest suggestion of women being abstinent, some of whom nature has already rendered abstinent anyway, going to work? We should stop seeing us (women) and them (men), as this will result in more anger and separate camps in households.
Politicians, must not fool us. They have the solutions at their disposal. Because they are greedy and incompetent individuals they only come up with schemes to enrich themselves! And then they feel or act shocked when visiting poor places, a reality they know fully well!
