However, as far as my experience is concerned, the best and most effective institute where a Namibian Christian child can learn the Bible qualitatively is in the Christian family home.
May I, therefore remind parents and godparents who are members of churches that practice baptism, of their promise, namely to “see to it that they (baptised children) are raised in the knowledge and will of God in the pure teaching of the gospel.
Teach them to be aware of the guidance of the Holy Spirit; to hate sin; to search for truth; to love Jesus and to faithfully keep His commandments, so that as far as it depends from you, they be kept for life everlasting.”
Is it fair of the Christian believers, parents/godparents to shift their very own responsibility to government schools?
Furthermore, let the churches, especially CCN member churches, develop Bible study curriculum (curricula) as an additional guide for Christian families so that Christian families and homes become a safer place where biblical norms and values are taught, lived, respected and truly protected!
Christian families, Christian parents and all members of Christian churches should not become too secular than the secular state itself! We have to be true and genuine to our promise and mission.
“Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them” (Deuteronomy 4:9).
