Oust Selfish Karas Politicians

THIS is about the arrested Karas so-called “politicians” (all are not politicians - some are only political office bearers), as reported in The Namibian of 18 March 2013! It seems they never learn.

They’re so divided (Karas business, Keetmanshoop municipality and the Karas Regional Council) but are still travelling abroad together for lobbying or strengthening twinning agreements! How many agreements did they not sign in the past? To mentioned but a few – one with a Chinese  province; another with Northern Cape Province and with Finland – but none of which have come to anything.
They should have been kept a bit longer in jail over there instead of splashing the taxpayer’s money on unnecessary overseas trips and S&T allowances.
I am sitting with copies of all previous and current twinning agreements between Karas and other towns and provinces in the world but none of these was honoured.
Look at Ondangwa that had twinning agreement with Finland at the same time as Keetmanshoop town council. They were assisted to developed infrastructure and did exactly that. What about Keetmanshoop? Absolutely nothing!
They’re so selfish and their infighting is their downfall. People of the south and Keetmanshoop, please let’s open our eyes, regroup and get rid of these selfish elected political party clowns and come up with a ratepayers’ association with leaders who can manage the town.
All these current elected leaders are governed from Windhoek by their respective political parties and we the electorate have nothing to say.
Whereas in the case of a local RPA we the residents can decide and ultimately recall or replace the one who does not perform.
The group who went to France could have done better by inviting them over to Karas Region, and save on travelling, accommodation and S&T allowances!
