Improve School This Year

I WRITE this letter to Epoko combined school management, staff and school board.

This school is in the Okalongo constituency in Omusati Region and it has been without a history teacher for the past year.
Our children who sat for the grade 10 exam last year were highly affected and performed very poorly in that particular subject. What is the role of a school principal, staff and board members?
To top it all, the school increased the school fees this year from grade 0-10. The school fees increased from N$40 to N$90 at lower primary level, which is very high. I am glad the Namibian government has made this loud and clear from every corner of the country through different media that free education for pre-primary has been introduced grades from 0-7 and parents will not pay school fees form now on. I express my gratitude to the Namibian government.
It is very painful and frustrating even to us parents to receive the message of the increase in school fees while the school has been without a history teacher.
We want better education for our children. Teachers must not just concentrate on fighting for posts and school fees to be hiked. Our children should be able to pass with flying colours to have a better future because we can’t afford to send them to private schools.
