Where Are the Scholarships?

WHAT happened to the so-called full scholarships that where supposed to be given to Bachelor of Education students for the 2013 academic year?

During the month of January it was so hot on the agenda that the advertisement was posted daily in all the newspapers and all national radio stations, and we the qualifying school leavers applied and got accepted. Three months have passed and up to now no one has given us any news regarding the scholarships.
It’s as if contracts weren’t drafted, nor funds budgeted to pay for tuition, hostel, books and related fees for the students. Those who can afford to pay part of their bills are paying while the majority of us don’t even have books, accommodation and taxi fare. We miss classes and some times tests because of that.
I have tried calling the contact persons to no avail and personally walked to Government Office Park (NSFAF - Namibia Student Financial Aid Scheme) to find answers, but to my surprise the clerks did not know or those in the know were out of office.
Why give us hope if you are not prepared to walk hand in hand with us?
