MP’s Want Better Pay and Status?
HOW do these officials, who are representing the Namibian people, find the courage to demand better pay and status?
Are we to understand that these individuals were forced into public service? If not should this not be a place where they spend most of their time fighting for issues and difficulties the public they represent are struggling through? I can’t even begin to describe the shortcomings of our government when it comes to some basic needs the public is deprived off because of corruption and incompetence.
It is very sad and pathetic that these leaders choose to use the corrupt practices of another government as the basis for their complaints, while people in the country are unemployed, living on less than N$9 a day.
So holding these posts exempts them from earning a basic salary and they are somehow superior to people working for retirement? I fail to understand their logic in trying to get more money for doing so little for the people they are hired to work for.
Wake up people and elect officials who will work for your issues rather than worry that some politician from a different country has a better rental car than he does!
