Question is: does Namibia recognise these three men as the true heroes they are? Does our government recognise them as such? Will our government care for their surviving dependants? They should get a life-long pension.
And is our Namibian Tourism Board able to make use of this heroic deed? After so much negative publicity in the past, about tourists being killed, robbed and molested, this would really be a different, most positive, albeit tragic, image of the Namibian spirit.
One should also care about the burial place of the heroes, making it a memorial, a place for inspiration to us all! It should tell us the story that anyone, anywhere can emerge as a hero, and that you do not need a higher education to be one – all you need is love for your neighbour. We should make work of this all.
