Civil Serfs

DURING feudal Russia, there were mainly two classes – The lords of the manor and the peasants.

Peasants worked for their lord and also paid tax.
In the democratic Namibia, the word peasant is substituted with servants. Servants work for little money and the tax rate is high. Just like a new class emerged in Russia after the industrial revolution, a new class has also developed in Namibia.
This is a class made out of liberation war veterans and their children. This is a class that is enjoying everything in our land. They get free houses, free money, food and jobs; N$50 000 in cash, monthly allowances, then tractors and more.
We the servants are tired. We make up the majority of the country just like serfs in Russia. Dear civil servants, as they call us, let us make our vote count by going on strike, and in the coming election let’s vote for a party that is willing to listen to us and a government that will hear our cries.
