Bikini In The Pool

IT IS with sadness and disappointment as a parent that I wish to bring the following concern to your attention.

As a regular visitor with my family to the Olympia swimming pool (Windhoek), this pool is no longer a pleasant place for us parents to take out our children for swimming. This is because of some patrons who have decided to come to the swimming pool half naked without taking into consideration the presence of minor children.
I’m a regular visitor to the Olympia swimming pool and I wish to bring it to the attention of the City of Windhoek that the place has become a disgrace for us parents. Here I’m referring to patrons who are now making it a habit to come and swim with G-strings despite the fact that the pool has no age restriction. Our poor children are now exposed to these types of images which is not good for their up-bringing.
On Sunday, 18 November, the situation was so bad that parents who came with their children at the pool were left with no option but to pack up and go, this included myself. To make matters worse, the ladies in the G-strings had the audacity to come to the children’s pool at the fountain to pose for photos ignoring the presence of our children.
Olympia and Western Suburb Swimming pools are public pools thus our children need to be protected in this regard.
In conclusion, I humbly wish to call up the City of Windhoek to come to the rescue of our children by putting measures in place pertaining to the dress code at these two public swimming pools.
