We are facing the June examinations and preparations are already in progress at some of the institutions.
I am irritated by people who don’t control their jukeboxes that are always played at high volume. They forget that some people are still studying while perhaps they don’t care because they are already done.
However, for this reason some of us don’t want to become bar owners in the future. That’s why we need the time and silence to study and even to rest.
Many bars and the loudest jukeboxes are located next to houses and homesteads.
Let me be more specific about location such as Ombili’s Omumbode Street in Windhoek, where there are some bars with jukeboxes that are always on the highest decibel and their owner always tuned in to the ‘don’t care frequency’. We are sick and tired of this kind of behaviour from our reckless parents who forget that we will be the leaders of this country tomorrow.
I hope people with responsibility for public order will take up this matter seriously to ensure progress and development of our country.
