Nocturnal Toxins Over Katutura

I WOULD like to express my concern about the smell that hangs over parts of Katutura throughout the night until the early morning hours. This stench has worsened to an extent where we can now conclude with certainty that some sort of toxin is being released into the air every night.

At the moment it is summer and we are experiencing hot nights that require one to open windows but this is just not possible. Every time I leave my window open at night I’m woken by this smell, normally with a heavy headache and my nose continuously blocked.
We would like the City of Windhoek to hold a press conference and explain to the residents of Katutura what is released into the air every night and for how long it is going to continue.
 City of Windhoek should, moreover, explain to us how the whole thing is going to affect the value of our property because Katutura has obviously become uninhabitable and they should keep in mind that the people residing there are also human beings.
This problem has been around for more than a year now and it is about time the City of Windhoek resolved the matter or else compensate us financially so that we can vacate Katutura.
