Banking On Soccer

SOME people think that others are blind and cannot see what they are doing.

Recently a bank manager in Katima Mulilo decided to take a soccer tournament to his home village! Can he tell the nation what drove him to that decision? Was it based on the number of customers?
I did not care then, but what irritates me is that time and again he is on the local radio telling the residents of Katima Town to go and get loans from the bank. Why can’t he tell the residents of his village to get those loans? What is our benefit as a town if competitions are taken to the villages when we are the ones giving them the business?
I am very glad that I closed my account with that bank. But I am very bitter that I still have a vehicle loan that I am paying off.
I wonder what justification was given to the authorities so that the hosting of such a tournament was granted, or are they not aware?
