Dada was politically motivated, so was Picasso, Beuys, Warhol, Banksy and so on. And who right-in-his-mind Namibian does not care about our unique deserts?
So Imke Rust is not “suitable”? It reminds me of the Nazis in 1938 declaring many artists as “degenerate” including destroying Kurt Schwitter’s ‘Merz’. The arts association might be too undereducated to know about this huge growing movement which took the Mickey out on Kommerz.
Through your ridiculous censorship of art in favour of commerce and the destruction of our environment, you have done massive damage to the image of Namibia and to the basic human right of freedom of expression. How more non-art can one be?
You should be ashamed of yourselves.
