I must confidently say that I strongly respect and agree with Dr Shejavali, a true man of God who is not only concerned about his country and its future (unlike most of our politicians) but also the world.
Dr Shejavali you are a true leader of the people with true interests of your people at heart, which is one thing that most of our leaders need to acquire.
As a Namibian youth, it is indeed sad and even frightening to see the direction that my country is taking, which is nothing but the direction of social conflict.
Many citizens, especially young people, do not see it, but it is clear that we are slowly but surely sinking down the drain.
Our education system is a mess and government continues to ignore that. Young people are endlessly overcrowding the streets and in some situations, they are forced into prostitution and criminal offences.
Our Government is being ruled by some corrupt and greedy leaders that continue to get away with a lot of evil practices.
These are just few of the many issues that need serious and immediate attention from both the government and society at large in order to achieve the One Namibia, One Nation that we have always strived to gain.
The following were just a few of the many statements that were outlined by Dr. Shejavali that I could not help but reinforce.
• There is a lack of respect among our political leaders for the Namibian Constitution.
• People cannot choose freely to which party they want to belong as the amount of intimidation causes them to be overwhelmed by fear.
• Like many African countries, political leadership is frustrating young people from making meaningful contributions to the development of their country.
• The destructive seeds of witch-hunting and anti-Kwanyamism have been sown within Swapo.
• Why should independent Namibia be interested in tribal boundaries while we were supposed to forge tribal groups into a really united Namibia?
• We must draw lessons from other African countries which had experienced the evils of civil conflicts.
• The education system is causing much damage to the nation because so many grade 10 and 12 learners continue to fail.
We need to act and we need to do it very fast.
