Shoddy Service From Bank

SINCE January 2009 I have been trying to obtain a new credit card from Standard Bank Credit Card Division since the old card expired in January.

In May 2009 I really had enough of the inefficient and pathetic service of the Credit Card Division and decided to close this account and have the funds transferred to my cheque account at Standard Bank, Ausspannplatz. Since May 14 I’ve paid numerous visits to the Ausspannplatz branch, and I made numerous phone calls to enquire about the transfer of the money, but the bank personnel is clueless and incompetent. On June 9 I sent a letter of complaint to Standard Bank, Windhoek and I also e-mailed a copy to Credit Card Queries.
As of today, June 17 2009, my money is still not transferred into my new account and nobody from Standard Bank has ever considered phoning me.
This is the most pathetic service I have ever experienced in my whole life. Considering we live in an electronic era! I am 80 years old and I cannot operate a computer, but I do know what is going on in the world.
