Alcohol Abuse In Namibia

ALCOHOL is one of the biggest problems that Namibians are facing.

Firstly I would like to start by defining that alcohol abuse is any

"harmful use" of alcohol.

Alcohol abuser is described as those who drink despite recurrent

social, interpersonal, and legal problems as a result of alcohol

use.

Harmful use implies alcohol use that causes either physical or

mental damage.

People tend to consume more alcohol than they should.

People tent to eat, drink, sleep, and dream alcohol as well.

How does alcohol abuse affect our community and country? Firstly

it leads to an increase in theft, an increase in school drop-outs,

increase in HIV/AIDS, divorce, and an increase on crime.

This has a big influence on our economy.

We must stop alcohol abuse before it stops our country from

going international.
