I have always regarded The Namibian as a quality paper providing
balanced and sensitive news messages.
Photographs published reflect this sensitiveness.
I therefore cannot understand why you have decided to publish
the photograph of the drowned woman on your front page.
I feel this shows an utter lack of respect for this woman and
her family.
I appreciate that you wanted to report on the floods hitting
Windhoek, but I am sure you had a choice of many photographs you
could have used instead.
I further recall that The Namibian published photographs of dead
people on its front page in the past, which also led to an outcry
of many of your readers.
I had hoped you had learned from these previous experiences and
I am therefore disappointed to see you have not taken the views of
many of your readers into consideration.
I hope you will this time.
