Ouma Fransman was indeed a blessed and a brave black woman in the
world to live up to the age of 126 years.
She was a very special and indeed a privileged human being to
see many wonders like Halley's Comet in 1910 and again in 1986.
She has witnessed the First and Second World Wars.
She has gone through many atrocities.
She saw great legends of our resistance struggle - Gaob Hendrik
Witbooi (Outa !Nanseb) and many other like the Marenga's with her
own eyes.
The Bible said that the normal surviving age of a human being is
70 years and if he/she is strong enough with God's blessings then
80 years is the maximum.
People like Ouma Fransman were afraid of God (God-abiding
citizens) and who have lived within the framework of the ten
commandments of the Lord.
None of us of this generation, I know, will be able to live up
to the age of 126.
People of our former times were the children of everyone.
In a very emotional, well attended sermon Bishop Kameeta
comforted the bereaved family with the most popular scripture in
the Bible, Matt. 5.
To the bereaved family of Ouma Fransman you have lost a great
human being of our ancient time, a blessed great grandmother.
I think she has left behind many legacies on which you can build
the foundation of your future.
I know that life now might be difficult, things will in time get
better.
Take what you have learned from Ouma Fransman and start from
there.
May the Soul of Ouma Fransman Rest in Peace!
