We also know that we are living in a society where it seems as if
the rights of criminals have become more important than those of
honest, law-abiding citizens who they terrorise.
What is probably the saddest scenario is that often those who
express anger at what the criminals are doing are themselves
terrorising their families with violence.
When we turn our attention to the scriptures in the Holy Bible,
we will clearly see that we are living in the days before the Lord
Jesus Christ returns.
The last days of this earth as we know it.
2 Timothy 3:1-4 New International version, "But mark this.
There will be terrible times in the last days.
People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful,
proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,
without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self control,
brutal, not lovers of good, treacherous, rash, conceited lovers of
pleasure rather than lovers of God."
I am a born again Christian and when I speak about the death
sentence, I do not do so lightly.
I know, however, that it serves a restraining purpose in a
society.
And those condemned to death can still find salvation before
they die.
We have such an account in Luke 23:40-43.
In the year 2001 I visited Israel.
In the Garden of Gethsemane, the Lord started me on a message of
righteousness for this nation.
I preach this message at churches where I am given the
opportunity.
In Genesis 18 we find the account of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Judged for the sin of Sodomy or homosexuality.
Genesis 18:20-21, "Then the Lord said the outcry against Sodom
and Gomorrah is so great that I will go down and see if what they
have done is as bad as the outcry that has reached me.
If not, I will know."
The sin of child rape is a grievous sin before the Lord.
The warning is if we do not come to the Lord in repentance, we
will see his judgement on this nation of Namibia.
As a nation we must heed the warning and seek his righteousness
so that he may bless Namibia.
Matthew 6:33, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness
and all these things will be given to you as well."
