Dead Dog - Whipping up Dust
AT THIS otherwise precious town of Swakopmund, we experience from time to time severe sand storms and therefore have a need for whipping up clouds of emotion about this unfortunate incident.
Unfortunately Swakopmund can be regarded as a doggy town with some
dog-headed pet owners overstepping every social rule as far as good
neigbourliness is concerned! SPCA centers attest to the fact that
there are many untrained and uncaring pet owners.
The dangerous, howling beast (now dead) was complained about a
day or so after another Ely-neighbour moved in.
This dog was out in the streets on many occasions attacking
people.
In short... an untrained beast with a couldn't-care-less
owner.
Quoting the distressed victim:
"I haven't eaten in days"
"I really feel bad"
"I was really scared of him"
"I can't face living in this neighbourhood anymore"
"My freedom has been taken away from me"
"I have been turned into a victim"
"I am selling my house" (Agents, go for it)
In conclusion I truthfully quote from a statement a previous
SPCA MANAGER (Windhoek) made about this same type of problem:
"Irresponsible dog owners should rather get the bullets and poison
instead of their untrained pets."
